anxiety exhaling predicting the demise
of more strike outs than hits
while winning titles for fly casting
honed by tree climbing
in dappled light focused and quiet
narrowing female eyes
lines slicing into bright rings...

grotesque groans

throughout

likened to heavy vowels
and vocal collapse

virulently under attack
by cataclysmic blasts of toxic air
unable to cling to clarity
admitted only in passing...
